Iconic places, without the crowds

About Uncrowds.

Private tours, after-hours access and storytelling experiences. Your group only.

What Uncrowds is

Uncrowds is a premium travel brand for seeing iconic places without the crowds: private tours, after-hours access and storytelling experiences, where access meets creativity.

After-hours access is VIP access, arranged where the venue allows it. Paris first, with Barcelona, Lisbon and Prague. Your group only, never strangers.

Our story

Peter, in his own words.

  1. I started guiding in Paris on early morning bike rides: the Seine at first light, the back streets the maps never send you down.
  2. What guests wrote afterward was rarely about a monument. It was about having it almost to themselves.
  3. In 2020 Paris emptied, and for a few strange weeks I saw it the way almost nobody does.
  4. Then the crowds came back: queues, raised phones and a slow shuffle past the thing you came to see.
  5. So we stopped asking where people should go, and started asking when, and how.
  6. Go before the crowd wakes, or after it leaves. Go private, with someone who lives there.
  7. That is Uncrowds.

Questions

Before you book.

What people ask before they book. Anything else, a person answers.

What is Uncrowds?

Uncrowds is a premium travel brand for seeing iconic places without the crowds: private tours, after-hours access and storytelling experiences, where access meets creativity. Paris first, with Barcelona, Lisbon and Prague. Your group only, never strangers.

Who guides us, and in which language?

Your own guide, for your group only: licensed guides at the Louvre and Versailles, one of the Opera's own guide lecturers at the Opera, and a host for the 1920s evening. Every Paris experience runs in English or French; the Louvre, Versailles, the Opera and sunrise tours also in Spanish, and the Louvre, Versailles and the Opera in Italian.

How does hotel pickup work?

After you book, Nicole or Emma contacts you personally. On the day, one of them or another of our concierges meets you in your hotel lobby in central Paris and takes you to the venue and your guide: on foot if it is close, otherwise by taxi or metro, or by train to Versailles. Fares are not included. Sunrise tours start at their meeting point, shown when you book.

Can you host a larger group?

Yes. Celebrations, family reunions, company trips: tell us your date and how many you are. We arrange larger groups directly, often as two small groups each with its own guide, or quote after-hours access on request.
