Switch the crowds off.
Same palace, other hour. By late afternoon most coach groups have headed back, and the rooms are noticeably quieter.
The crowds
- Coach groups through the Hall of Mirrors
- A flag to follow, a headset in your ear
- Saw it, felt nothing
Uncrowds
- In as most coach groups head back
- Your own guide, your questions
- The gardens as the palace closes
Calmer than the midday peak, not empty.
