How much does a private Paris tour cost in 2026
Published Last updated
A private Paris tour from Uncrowds costs €200 to €525 per group for a sunrise walk or bike ride, €590 to €1,090 for a private Louvre evening with tickets included, and €990 to €1,790 for a Versailles afternoon with palace tickets and gardens included. Prices are per group, guide included. Visits outside public hours are quoted per date.
What does a private Paris tour actually cost?
The table below is our price list for the tours you can book online, as of 16 October 2026. Every price is for your group alone with your own guide (a licensed guide on the Louvre and Versailles tours), and the tiers are set by group size. The Louvre and Versailles prices include the entry tickets for everyone in the group, which is the part most price comparisons leave out.

Prices are in euros and were taken from our booking system on 16 October 2026. The Versailles price of €990 covers any group of two, three or four. The sunrise tours run every day and start between 06:30 and 08:30 depending on the season; the booking calendar shows the exact start time for each date. The booking page always shows the live price for your exact group size before you pay, and each tour page carries the full terms.
Three things sit outside the table. Hotel pickup is not included on the sunrise tours. On Versailles, hotel pickup in central Paris is included and Nicole or Emma travels out with you: about 40 minutes on the RER C, then a short walk to the palace; train tickets are not included. And the Versailles tour covers the palace and the gardens, not the Trianon estate. Private visits to the Versailles State Apartments after the palace closes exist on request, are led by the palace’s own guide for up to 25 guests, and are priced in five figures per date. We quote those individually through the contact form.
Why is the price per group and not per person?
Because a private tour is one guide, one group, one morning, and the cost of that does not double when a second person joins. A couple on the Paris sunrise walk from the Trocadéro pays €250. The same walk for four people is €300, not €500. The tiers exist because breakfast, bikes and, at the Louvre and Versailles, tickets scale with the head count, while the guide does not.
Per person pricing is how shared group tours are sold, and it is the reason a private tour looks expensive at first glance. Our shared sunrise experiences on the booking platforms run at roughly €60 to €70 per person, so a couple pays €120 to €140 to join a small group at the same viewpoints. The private Trocadéro walk costs €250 for the same couple. The difference buys the guide’s full attention, the guide’s photographs of you, and breakfast. These are public places, so we cannot promise you a crowd level; what a private start at first light gives you is the earliest hour of the day, the hour in which our dawn photographs below were taken.
Why does a private Louvre evening cost more than a private sunrise walk?
Tickets and timing. The Louvre’s standard adult rates are €22 for EEA residents or citizens and €32 for everyone else, with free entry for under 18s and some other groups (louvre.fr, rates from 14 January 2026). For four adults paying the €32 rate that is €128 in entry alone, and entry for everyone is inside our €890 price. The evening tour also runs only on Wednesday and Friday, the two nights the museum stays open until 21:00, and it needs a group reservation, which is in the price.
Versailles works the same way. For reference, the palace’s own Passport ticket for the whole estate is €35 per adult from April to October (chateauversailles.fr). Our €990 includes the palace ticket for everyone in the group and the separate group booking that lets your guide lead you inside the State Apartments. When you compare prices, compare like with like: on 22 September 2026 Perplexity summarized a private Paris tour at €200 to €600, citing guide only listings, and none of those prices include entry to anything.
What does the extra money buy in crowd terms?
On the dates we have photographed, far fewer people around you; at the Louvre and Versailles, calmer than the midday peak, not empty. We describe both precisely because the difference matters when you are paying for it.
At sunrise, on the dates we photographed, the difference is stark. Our guide’s photo from 10 August 2023 at 06:22 shows nine people on the Trocadéro esplanade facing the Eiffel Tower. Our photo from 28 April 2024 at 06:27 shows the terrace beside the Palais de Chaillot statues almost empty. On 10 August 2023 at 07:06 the Louvre courtyard beside the reflecting pool was almost empty. Those are single dated observations, not averages. What they have in common is the clock: the sunrise tours start at first light, and the Louvre does not open until 09:00 (louvre.fr).
Later in the morning, the one place we have counted looks very different. Our photo from 21 February 2025 at 11:17, a Friday in winter, shows a crowd of at least 50 people in the Louvre courtyard by the entrance queue. We have not counted a summer late morning yet, so we put no number on it.
Inside the Louvre in the evening and inside Versailles in the late afternoon, the honest description is the one on our tour pages: calmer than the midday peak, not empty. Most day trips from Paris reach Versailles before noon, and at the Louvre the day groups thin out after the late afternoon. How quiet it gets varies by week and by exhibition, and our guides will tell you on the day rather than promise a number.
Sunrise walk, Louvre evening or Versailles afternoon: which one fits?
Choose by which place matters most to you, and by how much of the day you can give it.
The sunrise tours are our lowest priced private tours, and they use the earliest hour of the day, which is when our dated photographs show the fewest people. You can walk to the Trocadéro at dawn on your own for free; what you pay us for is the guide, the route, the photographs and breakfast. If your trip has one early morning in it, this is where to spend it: €200 to €525 per group, up to 8 guests, breakfast included, bookable up to 24 hours before the start, free cancellation up to 24 hours before. In peak season book about two weeks ahead.
The Louvre evening tour is for a group of up to 6 that wants the museum with a guide and without the midday crush, on a Wednesday or Friday. Book it at least 72 hours ahead; evening slots fill in peak season. €590 to €1,090 with everyone’s entry included, 80 percent refund up to 72 hours before.
The Versailles afternoon tour is for 2 to 12 guests who want the palace, the Hall of Mirrors and then the gardens after the palace has closed, with a guide who has the palace’s group booking to lead you inside. It is the longest of the three at 3 to 4 hours and the only one with a 7-day cancellation window. Book at least 72 hours ahead; the palace releases dates about three months out. €990 to €1,790.
And sometimes the better answer is no tour. Two people who know the Louvre and do not mind a queue will do fine with a €22 or €32 ticket at 09:00 on a Monday or Thursday. The private tours earn their price when you want a guide, when your group is four or more, or when tickets and reservations are the part you do not want to manage.
If none of these is the visit you have in mind, or your group is larger than the table shows, tell us what you want and we quote it. Not everything we run is listed here.
How do I check the price for my exact group?
Open the tour page, choose your date and the number of guests, and the price for that group size appears before you enter any payment details. Nothing is added at checkout. Payment confirms the booking on all three; for the Louvre and Versailles we then email the exact entry time, and Nicole or Emma messages you to set the pickup.
This page is part of our private access in Paris hub, where the comparison pieces will follow.
Is the price per person or per group?
Per group. A couple pays €250 for the Paris sunrise walk from the Trocadéro and a family of four pays €300, guide and breakfast included. On the Louvre and Versailles tours the price includes the guide, the entry tickets and hotel pickup in central Paris.
Do I pay the Louvre or Versailles ticket on top?
No. The Louvre evening tour includes entry for everyone in your group, and the Versailles afternoon tour includes the palace ticket, the group booking that lets your guide lead you inside, and gardens access. The sunrise tours are outdoor routes with no ticketed entry.
What happens if I cancel?
Sunrise tours are free to cancel up to 24 hours before the start. The Louvre evening refunds 80 percent up to 72 hours before. Versailles refunds 70 percent up to 7 days before, and nothing inside 7 days.
